EPC에서 옮기신다면 설비와 관련해서 깊이있는 지식을 습득할 수있는 좋은 기회입니다. 또한 ECS 슈퍼바이저를 모집하는 것으로 보이는데 현장설치 후 커미셔닝을 지원하는 것으로 보입니다. ECS 커미셔닝 기간이 DCS 에 비해 상대적으로 짧아 현장업무에 대한 부담도 적습니다. 다만 슈퍼바이저 업무 특성상 현장출장이 잦을수 있습니다. 현재 사이트 업무가 종료되어도 다음사이트로 바로 이동해서 지원해야하는 경우가 발생할 수도 있습니다.

  채용공고는 다음과같는데 아마 현장을 엄청나가겟죠?? 몸쓰는일도 많을테고.

• Field Engineer participates as a Regional Service Team member
• Lead and manage site execution of excitation retrofit projects. Scope of projects includes one or more of the following: Excitation Systems (EX 2000, EX2100, Alterrex, DFE-Digital Front End), generator controls and relaying, electrical construction, static start (LCI) systems.
• Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standards
• Perform project management and technical leader duties.
• Participates, working closely with project managers, customers' and suppliers' representatives, and FAT (factory acceptance test)
• Addresses customers' service requests and leads customer issue resolution during warranty and post-warranty periods.
• Manages relationships with customers, business partners and suppliers, both internal and external, during site commissioning and startup phase.
• Work to be performed at GE and customer locations throughout the Asia (primary) with possible work globally.
• Works closely with other functions in the team to develop opportunities, formulate and present GE solution to customers. Significant overseas travel (20-50%) will be expected.
• Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality.
• Responds to customers’ call out services requests
• Timely completion of service reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements • Technical degree Electrical Engineering
• Experience and basic knowledge of generator excitation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision requirement; able to work independently; ability to prioritize, organize work, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to set and meet aggressive targets.
• Excellent spoken and written English skills.
• Customer-focused skills, demonstrated by experience in field services, customer services or project management, are essential.

Ge와 같은 글로벌 제작사들은 설계 제작부서와 필드 엔지니어를 구분해서 인력관리를 합니다. 입사후 부서 이동이 가능한지는 모르겠으나 국내에 설계 제작인력이 없습니다. 필드 엔지니어 업무를 계속 하실수도 있겠네요. 기술적으로 역량을 키우고 싶으시다면 가시는 것도 나쁘지 않아 보입니다. 국내에 ecs나 동기 기동장치 전문가가 부족하거든요. 그리고 합격 오퍼가 오지 않은 상태라면 합격하시고 처우까지 따져 보신 후 결정하시는 것도 나쁘지 않아 보입니다.^^
